Year 5 Cluster Academies 2010-2011

The moderation will take place on one of the following days, depending on which cluster your school is in

During the moderation sessions pupils will participate in a range of activities that will not only challenge their physical skills but also their personal, social, creative and cognitive skills required to be successful in top level sport.  We are looking for children who are all round athletes and not just talented in one sport.

Following the moderation session pupils will be selected to attend a cluster academy in both the Spring and Summer terms as follows:

All pupils on the cluster academies will have access to an on-line assessment wheel where they can set targets for future development.

Each academy sessions will have a specific developmental focus.  The Spring term session will focus on developing their personal and social skills.  The Summer term session will focus on their cognitive and creative skills.

At the end of Year 5 pupils will be nominated to attend the Yr 6 Partnership Academy days in the Autumn and Spring Terms. 

Year 6 Partnership Academy 2010-2011

The Academy sessions will take place on the following days

All pupils on the Partnership Academy will have access to an on-line assessment wheel where they can set targets fro future development.

Each academy day will have a specific developmental focus.  The Autumn term session will focus on developing their personal and social skills.  The Summer term session will focus on their cognitive and creative skills.

Year 7 & 8 Gifted and Talented Academy 2010-2011 

Wednesday 13th October - 9.00am - 3.00pm Taunton Tennis Centre, Blackbrook Pavilion
