Do you want help running and after school club? |
|
To support schools ability to run more extra-curricular clubs and meet the governments school target of providing an extra hour of physical activity we have trained up 60+ Further Education students in delivering Fundamentals/ Top Activity / Multi-sport clubs. Many have NGB qualifications also in specific sports. There are some excellent leaders that have signed up to come into schools.
We have also a bank of Qualified Community Coaches and community leisure centre staff that are available.

The aged 16+ leaders would be paired up initially and all be CRB cleared. They would need to have a responsible adult in the room either to assist, watch or do their marking!!. This could potentially also be a parent. For College students and community coaches who are 18+ then this is not required.
We plan for them to work on a voluntary basis for a few weeks to make sure both schools and leaders were happy with the placement, and then we would look to explore the possibility of how they could be paid. The TSSP’s can fund this in the short term but we would need to explore how some income could be generated either by charging a nominal cost to the kids or finding money from school or healthy schools funding.
LSA / HLTA FUNDING to run Extra Curricular clubs
Do you have any LSA’s, TA’s , HLTA’s that would be interested in running extra-curricular physical activity club in your school? If so I potentially have funding for them to run before school or after school clubs. The focus area is KS1 clubs or Top Activity / Multi-sport clubs. If we have enough interest we would provide FREE training and equipment. There is also potential funding for them to gain Level 1 and Level 2 NGB qualifications
