Gifted and Talented pupils in the Taunton Deane and West Somerset area have attended a series of moderation and development academies organised by the Tone School Sports Partnership. 

Just over 250 Yr 5 pupils have attended moderation sessions run by the partnerships Sports Coordinators and about 100 pupils being selected to attend future cluster academies.

80 Yr 6 pupils attended the Partnership Multi skill academy at Taunton Vale.  50 Yr 7 and 30 Yr 8’s have also attended Somerset Academy sessions.  Partnership Development Manager Dave Bullock said “Throughout the days pupils personal and social skills were challenged through a range of non traditional sport activities.  The aim being to apply the skills learnt to their own sports allowing themselves and their teams to perform at a higher level”
