Summer Primary Central Venue Leagues
  • The finals of the Primary school SUMMER central venue leagues have been taking place during July for rounders and kwik cricket.

    In addition, children have had the opportunity to take part in mini hockey and ultimate frisbee once a month.

    Lydeard St Lawrence were the winners of this year's Primary Small Schools Rounders League, with West Buckland and Sampford Arundel sharing second place.
    In the Large schools competition, the top 3 schools from each of the two leagues competed in the finals to establish the overall winners. Trull played Thurlbear in the  final game and emerged as champions, just beating Thurlbear by 16 points to 15.

    Lydeard St Lawrence were the winners of this year's Small Primary Schools Kwik Cricket League, with Stoke St Gregory securing second place. In the Girls Kwik Cricket competition, Stawley emerged as this year's winners, with Trinity taking the silver medal position.


    trinity-kwik-cricket-winner.jpgThe final of the Large Primary School Kwik Cricket competition took place on a very wet afternoon between the top team from each of the two leagues. In a very close game, Trinity ended up as overall champions, beating Wiveliscombe into second place by just 1 point 237-236.
