The Tone School Sports Partnership held its second Year 6 Outdoor Education Festival on Wednesday 24th June at Norton Manor Marine Camp. The aim was that the children would leave with a clear idea of what a good leader is, be more confident in taking on a leadership role and understand the dynamics of working as part of a successful team - as well as having a fun, enjoyable and challenging day. |
The children took part in four challenges: roller ball where they had to build a course using guttering, elastic bands and bamboo for a golf ball to roll down, puzzled proper - a challenging game involving building a wooden puzzle from a map NOT as easy as it sounds!, trim trail - running around the marines 2.2 mile trim trail and completing exercises along the way and capture the flag - 5 teams competing on a pitch to capture the other teams flags.
