In order to achieve the full certificate candidates must complete modules 1 and 2. Candidates who complete module 1 only will receive an attendance certificate
Who can attend?
The course is open to any person working within a primary school swimming programme e.g. school teacher, classroom assistant, learning support staff, nursery nurse, qualified swimming teachers, parent, other helpers etc.
Once qualified you will be equipped to actively assist and/or support a more qualified teacher in the teaching of a range of core aquatic skills to a small group

Go Ride is an exciting way to get children cycling with lots of different activities, challenges and skills to be delivered. The cycling can take place on grass or playgrounds and gives excellent ideas on cycle safety whilst also being a great fun physical activity.
To attend the training you must be a qualified teacher but other than that no experience of delivering cycling is necessary.
Cost £55
Half of the course costs have been subsidized by British Cycling but normally costs £105 including a resource pack per school.

The day will be focused on:
1) Identifying School priorities based on your PESSYP survey results to draw up an effective development plan that identifies how your supply days will be used. The SSCo’s will be present so that they can best support your school in increasing physical activity levels in your school.
2) Leadership and new KS" resource and plans
3) We will also be reviewing how we can make festivals and competitions more sustainable and how better links can be created with local clubs. We will also have practical sessions based on Key steps Gymnastics, Quicksticks hockey and Orienteering

• Aims
1) Creating opportunities for all
2) Fun, safe, purposeful physical activity
3) Informality; allowing young people to have a go
4) Involvement; giving young people a say
5) Taking part at your own level
6) Sparking an interest in lifelong activity
Areas of activity include
1. Xpress Yourself: Dance, cheerleading, martial fitness, jive, salsa
2. Xercise Highs: Skipping, hula, oppy relays, wake n’ shake, circuits
3. Xtra Time: Small-sided games, relays, clapping, number & ball games, parachute, frisbee, throwing & running activities
4. Xtreme Challenges: Circus moves, limbo, tri-golf, rock-it-ball, seated volleyball, co-operative games,
