Active Exmoor

Active Exmoor has just produced a 60 page guide to outdoor recreation for 2009 which is viewable online at www.activeexmoor.com. A .pdf file version is also available for download.

Primary Central Venue League Champions

The finals of the Primary school central venue league have been taking place during March for football, tag rugby and netball. All the leagues have been keenly contested this year, with more schools taking part than ever. Reports from each sport follow on the next page.

Playground to Podium Festival

On 16th March, students from Ladymead, Kingsmead and Selworthy all took part in the first Multi-sports Player to Podium festival at Taunton Vale Sports Club in the search for the next Paralympic champion.

Pool Canoeing at Norton Manor.

Thanks to the generosity of the Royal Marine 45 Commando at Norton Manor we have started pool canoeing sessions on Friday evenings. There are 2 sessions for secondary pupils from 4-5pm and from 5-6pm and a primary school session from 6-7pm. The cost is £3 per session. Regional Indoor Rowing Finals

On Wednesday 4th March, staff from the Tone School Sports Partnership took a team of 16 pupils ranging from Year 7 to Year 11 to the Regional Indoor Rowing Finals at Plymouth Marjons University. The team of 16 was selected from the rowing matches that had been run over the previous 4 months at Blackbrook Pavilion.
